Midtown Clay is a community clay studio and retail space founded by Francis Pineda-Fischer (the visionary behind Sandwich Ceramic).
Midtown Clay offers classes, private sessions for all levels of experience and also sells hand-made wares in their storefront.
WTS & MTC share a sense of play and appreciation for craft — our two businesses overlap in spirit while remaining separate in function.

At We the Starborne we focus on crystals, metaphysical objects, intuitive connection and exploration.
At Midtown Clay you’ll find hands-in-the-clay, community studio time, and locally-made ceramics.
Together we create a space of making + meaning, craft + slow living.

Because we operate under one roof but via separate businesses, You’ll run two separate transactions if buying from both We the Starborne and Midtown Clay.

There are a handful of parking spots directly outside the studio, plus ample free street parking on Hamline and the surrounding cross-streets.

Our three wonderful pups often hang out in the back portion of the studio when we’re open.

They don’t run free, but they love meeting visitors and getting pets for anyone who wants to say hello. A warm four-legged welcome awaits :)
